Adaptive Grand Slam

We are proud to support Adaptive Grand Slam. The Adaptive Grand Slam group exists to train and enable disabled adventurers to take on some of the most extreme expeditions, raising awareness of how community members can overcome adversity.

Why choose Slater and Gordon as your legal representative?

As a sponsor of Adaptive Grand Slam (AGS), we understand how important specialist support is and the impact it can have. We have witnessed and supported this movement first hand during the training and final expedition to Mt. Denali. Mike Knott, a Senior Practice Director, joined AGS founder Martin Hewitt in expedition training in the alps and saw what specialist care for disabled adventurers can achieve.

The Adaptive Grand Slam aims to inspire people to achieve the extraordinary. By providing opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in expeditions, and overcome physical challenges, the team hopes to raise awareness of how community members can overcome adversity, set world records, complete world first attempts, and collaborate with like-minded people.

We strive to ensure that we provide the high level of service our clients would expect from one of Adaptive Grand Slam 's legal service providers and ensure the best possible outcome to their case.

Highly experienced:

At Slater and Gordon, we have highly specialist solicitors in our medical negligence team. For decades, we have been involved in some of the most high-profile and ground-breaking cases.

Having worked with charities supporting those with disabilities very closely, we understand the challenges you and your family face and we will be with you throughout your case, every step of the way.

Strong reputation:

Our highly specialist personal injury and medical negligence teams have been representing clients who have experienced personal injury and medical negligence for decades, and have been involved in some of the most high-profile and ground-breaking cases.

Independent legal guides such as Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 have ranked our teams highly over the years and consider many of our medical negligence experts to be leaders in their field. During this time, we have also won and been shortlisted in several prestigious legal awards such as the Personal Injury Awards, Manchester Legal Awards, Modern Claim Awards, Wales Legal Awards, and the Liverpool Law Society Awards.

Medical team of nurses and midwives:

Our team, which spans across England, Scotland and Wales, also includes nurses and midwives who can offer bespoke medical advice and guidance in addition to the legal expertise provided by our specialist lawyers.

Treatment and rehabilitation support:

We work with some of the best case managers and treatment providers in the UK - not only to ensure that the treatment and support you receive is the best available, but also to seek early interim payments. This is a key part of our strategy to ensure there is funding to help support you as soon as possible, giving you and your family the best chance for a better quality of life.

No financial risk:

Slater and Gordon is able to offer Legal Aid funding on cases where a child has suffered from a neurological injury at birth or within the early neonatal period, such as cerebral palsy.

It is important to note that not all law firms are able to offer Legal Aid funding, but Slater and Gordon is an exception.

By funding your case through Legal Aid, there is no financial risk to you.

Providing a seamless end to end service for all your legal needs:

Additionally, as we are one of the largest law firms in the UK, we have dedicated experts in a wide range of specialist legal services who can offer bespoke expertise when it is needed. This includes services like court of protection and family law to ensure all your legal needs are covered. Having these bespoke services enables us to provide our clients with an end-to-end seamless service for their legal and financial needs.
