Associate

Being able to work in a role that allows me to make a real difference to people who’ve been severely injured is extremely rewarding.

Expert profile of Jamie Day

Get to know Jamie

I initially worked at Slater and Gordon in London as a work placement student between 2015 and 2016. Then, in 2017, I joined full time as a litigation executive and I now work as an associate in the serious injury team.

I manage a case load of employers’ liability cases (accident at work cases) where my clients have suffered serious injuries as a result of their accidents. As well as the employers’ liability cases I handle, I also represent clients who've suffered serious injuries as a result of road traffic accidents and accidents in public places (public and occupier’s liability).

I also represent families whose loved ones have been killed as a result of negligence. This includes representing them at a Coroner’s inquest and in any subsequent personal injury action.

Additionally, I also assist senior members of the team with a high value case load including brain injury cases, amputation cases and paralysis/spinal cord injury cases.

Career highlights

There's not one specific stand out case for me. The highlight in each case is seeing the difference that can be made to a person’s life and the change in them from immediately post-accident, to the successful conclusion of their case.

The extra mile

I’m a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
