I have over 20 years of experience in the field of employment law; I am able to provide advice and expert representation in all areas of law, including all forms of discrimination, contractual disputes, equal pay, pension loss, redundancy, TUPE, unfair and wrongful and constructive dismissal, wages claims and whistleblowing.

I also have experience of pre claim work, advising in internal grievance and disciplinary proceedings, alternative dispute resolution and advising and negotiating in mass settlement agreements.

Career highlights

My career highlights include representing a senior manager employed at KFC in her successful tribunal claim if sex discrimination and harassment, successfully representing an employee in a disability discrimination and unfair dismissal claim against JD Wetherspoon PLC, advising a trade union on age discrimination claims relating to pension entitlements and advising and negotiating in a mass settlement agreement upon behalf of the trade union in the aerospace industry.

Recognition

The independent legal guide, Legal 500, has recognised me as 'Key Lawyer' in my field and states: "‘The team is a very safe pair of hands and provides excellent work at tribunals."

In 2017 I was part of an award-winning employment law team winning a national award for Excellence in Equality. In 2019 our team was named the Employment Team of the Year in the Welsh Legal Awards.

The extra mile

I'm a qualified High Court Advocate and Duty Solicitor (Crown Court).

I'm a regular contributor to the media in local and national press, radio and TV. I'm often asked to contribute to Wales TUC national conferences, presenting on a wide range of current employment issues.

Also, I'm member of the Law Society and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA).
